Barry McCormick


I’ve worked in recruitment for the last 19 years, in the UK and Dubai. My experience is predominantly in temp recruitment but part of the time I spent in Dubai was focused solely on permanent recruitment – working with clients such as Aramex, DHL and CEVA.

Like all members of the Capital team, I am driven by a passion for delivering excellent customer service. I want to provide clients with the level of service that I would expect myself.

Outside of the business, I devote some of my time to the football industry– another passion! I am married and have a son. As a family we enjoy being outdoors and are all avid Liverpool fans.

This approach I feel has given me the tools to be successful over the last 19 years and the main reason we set up Capital back in 2015.

Over the last 2 years I have also started to work in Football in which the experience I have gained in working in recruitment has given me transferrable skills which I use today.

I am happily married and have 1 son. As a family we enjoy getting outdoors and are all avid Liverpool fans.

Richard Burford


I set up Capital Recruitment in November 2015, calling upon over 30 years’ experience as a recruitment professional.

My background includes business development, contract negotiation and implementation, people management and customer relations management within the industrial recruitment industry. 

I moved to Manchester in 1999 and have lived in the Northwest ever since. I still consider myself a Brummie as I was born in Birmingham – and was in the stadium in Rotterdam when the Villa won the European Cup in 1982! 

I have three sons, all born in the Northwest. I have a love for the outdoors and enjoy walking our dogs every weekend.

Paul McNally

Head of Logistics

I have 28 years’ experience in Logistics recruitment and have supported a variety of clients from major blue-chip contracts to small hauliers. I’m also a preferred supplier to all the local councils.

I have a vast knowledge of the local HGV workforce, putting me one step ahead of others in the industry.

I have 2 kids (13 and 9) both boys, they are chalk and cheese and fight like cat and dog.

I enjoy a Guinness or two at the weekend, love football, both watching my youngest play and Liverpool. My football boots are well and truly hung up now though!

Leanne Irving

Head of Healthcare

I’ve been in Healthcare recruitment for just under 20 years. I started off as a Healthcare Assistant and developed quickly due to my passion for caring for people.

During my career, I’ve worked in nursing homes, residential care settings, day centres and children’s residential services, so I have a vast amount of knowledge from the viewpoint of a client. 

I’ve delivered both temp and perm recruitment, However I love the fast-paced environment of temporary recruitment.

I enjoy going out for meals and socialising with friends and family, as long as wine is involved! My pet hate is shopping!
